Getting started
Who can become an affiliate?
Anyone with an audience of agencies, freelancers, or operators: YouTubers, course creators, newsletter writers, podcasters, coaches, and community owners. There's no follower minimum and no cost to join. We review every application to keep quality high, and most are approved within 24 hours.
How much does it cost to join?
Nothing. The program is completely free. You get a dashboard, your referral links, and the full creative kit the moment you're approved.
Do I have to be an Ovia customer?
No, though the best affiliates use Ovia themselves, because authentic recommendations convert. If you'd like a free account to make content with, just ask your partner manager.
Commission and payouts
How does the 40% lifetime commission work?
You earn 40% of everything your referral pays Ovia, every month, for the entire lifetime of the account. There's no step-down and no expiry. As long as they stay subscribed, you keep earning. Because Ovia bills monthly and agencies stay for years, the recurring commission compounds month after month.
What is the second-tier commission?
When you recruit another creator into the affiliate program, you earn a 5% override on the commission they earn, paid by us, not deducted from them. It rewards you for growing the community, and it stacks on top of all your direct referral earnings.
When and how do I get paid?
Payouts run monthly, once your balance clears the $50 minimum and the standard 30-day refund window on the underlying invoices has passed. Choose Stripe, PayPal, or bank wire. There is no cap on what you can earn.
What happens if a referral cancels or refunds?
Commission is tied to real, collected revenue. If a referral cancels, you stop earning on them going forward and keep everything already paid out. If an invoice is refunded inside the refund window, that single commission is reversed before it's paid. There are no surprise clawbacks on money you've already received.
How is tracking handled?
The program runs on FirstPromoter. Your dashboard shows clicks, signups, and commissions in real time. Attribution uses a 90-day cookie from the last click on your link, so if someone clicks and signs up any time in the next 90 days, on any device since we also match on account, the referral is credited to you.
What if my referral upgrades or downgrades their plan?
Your 40% always applies to whatever they actually pay. If they upgrade, your commission grows with them. If they downgrade, it adjusts down the same way.
Promotion
Can I run paid ads to my affiliate link?
No. This program rewards promotion through content you own, so paid advertising for your affiliate link is not allowed in search engines, on social media, or in any other public forum. Bidding on Ovia branded keywords is prohibited outright. See the program terms below, and ask before you run anything you are unsure about.
Can I deep-link to specific pages?
Yes. Your link tool lets you append your affiliate ID to any Ovia URL, whether that's pricing, a specific feature, or the homepage, so you can send people exactly where your content points.

What’s allowed, and what isn’t.
This program exists to reward affiliates for genuine promotion of Ovia through content they own. Terms and conditions apply.
Promote through your own content. Your posts, videos, newsletter, podcast, course, or site. That is what the program is here to reward.
No paid advertising. You may not run paid ads for your affiliate link in search engines, on social media, or in any other public forum.
No bidding on our brand. Use of Ovia’s branded keywords in paid search is strictly prohibited.
No coupon or deal sites. You may not promote Ovia through third-party coupon, voucher, or deal sites.
No referring yourself. You will not receive credit for referring yourself, and accounts opened to claim your own commission do not qualify.
Violations end the account. Any account found in violation is permanently blocked and forfeits all pending payouts.
